Anis obtained his PhD in Finance at HEC-Montreal, Canada. He is currently an Associate Professor at the American University of Sharjah. Before joining AUS, he taught at Abu Dhabi University and worked as risk management advisor with one of the largest institutional investors in Canada and has published in leading financial journals, such as the Journal of Banking and Finance. His research interests include international finance, corporate finance, corporate governance, financial risk management, financial markets, Islamic finance and financial econometrics.
Anis is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
